The day we took the car without permission at 12am in the morning.
After which our parents caught us out on the street on our way home stretching for their morning jog. So much for being stealth.
Some of the accessories I’ve accumulated over the Holidays. (mostly cocktail rings, charm bracelets and necklaces)
The thing is, none of them are gifts. Gift giving during Christmas in my family stops at 12. Plus, we have the young nieces and nephews to think about.
So you can guess where most of my Christmas savings went.

I was in bed with Chuck Klosterman for 3 consecutive nights.
He was great.
Ok, that sounded wrong. (and kinky)

If only I had a bath tub. But I do eat cans of Pineapple and pretend I’m in a Wong Kar Wai film.

Instantly reminded me of Alice in Wonderland.
One of the reasons why 2010 is going to be awesome!
CAN’T WAIT! 5/28/2010, mark the date!

2009’s been such an experience for me. Though I could say that 2009 encompassed of nothing but crap, I’d say otherwise. Yes, I did go through an emotional roller coaster ride of tears, betrayal and heartache; I spent most of this year healing, mending and learning to forgive and let go. But this year also made me learn a lot of things, this year made me a stronger person. I learned that in times that you are at your lowest, you’ll find out who are the people who truly care about you. I am so grateful for my family and for my friends (you know who you are!), they were there for me all throughout and I’ve never felt so loved and cared for.
The year 2009 also opened a path for me to go soul searching. I embraced my independence and got to know myself more. I opened myself up to new experiences and people. I learned to step out of my shell. I spent more time on myself and my interests. I got to go to the Gym, improve my Photography skills, read and write more, see more films, etc. I learned to handle problems my own way, without having to rely on anyone for emotional security. I learned to be more mature, I realized that I wasn’t getting any younger. I learned to pray more, I’ve been closer to God than ever. I’ve learned to value my friendships more. I learned that everything happens for a reason, that no matter how confusing things may be, eventually, things will fall into place. I also learned that there is always two sides to a story, that no one is an exception to pain.
I learned that I should never settle for any less than I deserve; I learned to love myself.
In conclusion, my 2009 had its ups and downs, but hey, I survived. And whatever happened to me in 2009 sure as hell made me well-equipped for 2010. So, good riddance 2009! And watch out 2010, I’m going to rock you ♥
